About Marcia Rosman, Principal
For more than 25 years, Business Broker Services president Marcia Rosman has been facilitating the sales of businesses for both sellers and buyers. As a Business Certified Appraiser and Certified Business Evaluator, she prepares certified “Opinions of Value.” She has performed appraisals and evaluations of hundreds of businesses, including for purchases and sales, in cases of divorce and partnership disputes, for estate and insurance purposes, for probate proceedings, and for banks and SBA lending programs. She frequently testifies about business valuations as an expert court witness.
Marcia Rosman is certified in Business Appraisals by the International Society of Business Appraisers and Certified Business Evaluations by Northeastern University’s Insurance & Financial Services Institute, from which she earned a certificate in December 1996.
Before creating her own business broker firm, Rosman was a principal in several other business enterprises. She established a small-business evaluation division for a mergers-and-acquisitions firm, and has been an active participant in and has served on the boards and education programs of the Institute of Business Appraisers, International Business Brokers Association, and New England Business Brokers Association, of which she was a cofounder and board member for eight years.
Rosman has been an active advisor to the Business Exchange Network, participated in programs of the Association for Corporate Growth, Chamber of Commerce, and Center for Women & Enterprise. She continues to consult with banks and large brokerage offices on their small to midsize business transactions.
Education is an important offshoot of Business Broker Services. Marcia Rosman developed a workshop/seminar series, “How to Buy/Value/Sell That Existing Business,” and taught it at a number of colleges. She now teaches in private settings, attracting MBAs, downsized business professionals, and those looking for a career change.
